The Role

Shearwater Marine Services Ltd is seeking a Dive Technician to be based in their Plymouth Office. The role involves ensuring operations run safely and smoothly while maintaining the highest standards in diving equipment

Key Responsibilities

  • Dive Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular inspections,     repairs, and calibration on all diving gear to ensure it meets legal and     safety standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay on top of laws and     industry regulations, making sure all equipment is always compliant.
  • Procurement & Supplementary     Equipment:     Manage and maintain additional diving tools and equipment to keep     operations running efficiently.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed, up-to-date logs     and records for all maintenance, inspections, and compliance checks.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with diving teams     to ensure they have all the necessary gear for successful and safe     operations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive efficiency and safety     improvements in equipment maintenance and procedures.
  • Other Responsibilities: Tackle additional tasks as     needed, including diving and multi-skilled operative duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Relevant equipment maintenance certification and proven experience in managing diving equipment.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety regulations, industry best practices, and legal requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skill
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Forklift/Telehandler operator certification, valid driving license, and trailer license.
  • Familiarity with safe lifting, handling, and slinging practices.
